HowNoisy provides an environmental information assessment based on available public datasets. It is not an acoustic measurement, building survey, legal assessment or guarantee of indoor acoustic comfort.

Results describe outdoor environmental noise exposure around a geographic point, derived from datasets that describe an earlier reference year. They should not be used as the sole basis for a property, financial or legal decision.

Scores cannot be bought, modified or removed by property owners, agencies or advertisers. Requests to alter a score commercially are refused.

Public datasets may contain errors or may have become outdated, and third-party services may be temporarily unavailable. Where HowNoisy cannot rely on the available data, it says so instead of producing a score. Data issues can be reported to presupuestos@bluenoise.es.

Official noise maps and data remain the property of their publishers (MITECO, the European Environment Agency, the Generalitat Valenciana, the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Government of Navarre, the Cadastre and the city councils of Madrid, Barcelona and València) and are used under their open-data terms.
